Why isn't pricing listed?
PLC Forge is licensed per seat and billed annually, and what a license costs depends on team size, deployment model, and support needs. We're currently onboarding our first design partners and setting pricing with them directly, so we'd rather have the conversation than post a number that doesn't fit your situation. Get in touch and we'll give you a straight answer quickly.
What can I do with the free tier?
The free tier is for reading and understanding projects: import an L5X file and use every viewer, the code analyzer, cross-references, and dependency graphs. Editing, export, version control, and the AI agent require a Pro license.
Can I try Pro before I buy?
Yes. Pro comes with a 14-day trial with full access to the editors, version control, and the AI agent. When the trial ends the free tier keeps working, so you won't lose access to your projects or the analysis tools — you just can't edit or use AI until you upgrade.
What are AI credit packs?
Credit packs let you add AI usage beyond your monthly allowance, and they don't expire. They're useful for months with heavier usage — during a large refactoring project, for example. Pack pricing is included in your quote.
Is my code stored on your servers?
No. PLC Forge is a desktop application that runs locally on your machine. Your project files never leave your computer unless you explicitly choose to use remote git repositories. AI features send only the relevant code context to our AI service for processing — it is never stored.
What PLC platforms do you support?
At launch, PLC Forge supports Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) L5X files with 100% round-trip fidelity. Support for additional platforms and file formats is on our roadmap.
Do I need an internet connection?
The core toolkit (editors, viewers, analysis, local version control, import/export) works fully offline. An internet connection is only needed for AI features and remote git repositories.
When will Teams and Enterprise be available?
Teams and Enterprise tiers are on our near-term roadmap. Join the waitlist and we'll notify you as soon as they're available. Enterprise requirements can shape what we build — reach out through the contact page if you have specific needs.
